It’s time for the big colour reveal on the Jaguar MK1 race car - many thanks for all of your suggestions and comments, as there was some good feedback for us to consider. nnAfter much deliberation we opted for Pearl Grey. Here are some photos of the car having returned from paint.nnWe begun this process with every intention of keeping the car in its original British Racing Green (BRG) but having had colour swatches made up, we were a little concerned that the car would almost look black in some light.nnWe had other BRGs made up but then we were stepping away from the original period correct Jaguar colour chart and we did consider Sherwood Green, but the seed had been planted to explore other colour options.nnWith our modern race cars painted in grey (admittedly a dark shade) it felt right to use hue of ‘grey’ to keep it part of the family with the TL racing colours! nnWe’ve started to fit up some of the brightwork and accessories and think the colour is looking great - but appreciate that it might not be to everyone’s taste. nnWhat do you think?
