A DPF Clean for a 'family bus'. This 282,000 miles 2012 2.0 TDi VW Caravelle is a family run-around. Normally when the DPF light comes on the owner takes it on a long drive and it goes out. Except this time it didn't. The flashing coil light came on as well. We got a call yesterday and attended today. Diagnosed a blocked DPF, a non working EGR valve and a turbo overboost fault. DPF Clean done, successful regeneration carried out (in sub zero conditions) and the 'bus is now error code and warning light free and back in service for the family of 6.
