Eco boost 1.0 timing belt deterioration. nAn example of why regular oil changes with the correct oil is essential to the longevity to the life of a 1.0 Eco boost engine timing belt.nAfter the oil pressure warning light had flashed, the owner of this Fiesta 1.0 Eco boost was advised against driving and to recover his vehicle to us from Bristol.nThankfully our advice was heeded as this engine was close to suffering total oil starvation and timing belt failure.nComponents cleaned, new timing belt and oil pump belt fitted, new water pump and oil and filter changed and another Eco boost ready for collection.
