Do I get a courtesy car to use while my car is in for repair?
We have a number of Courtesy Vehicles available for all insurance work. Where possible these may also be made available for private work. This does however depend on availability and must be pre-booked. All vehicles are fully insured by Fairlight Coachworks
Do I have to pay my excess to Fairlight Coachworks?
Yes, any excess applied to your policy must be paid to Fairlight Coachworks on completion or return of your vehicle. We accept all major debit and credit cards and cash, but regretfully we are unable to accept cheques.
Do you work on other vehicle makes?
Yes we have the facilities to work on all makes of car and we have repaired most makes and models over the years, from classic cars to the latest electric models. If for some reason we cannot carry out work on your particular vehicle for any reason, we will tell you before commencing!
Do you undertake corrosion repairs?
Unfortunately we do not take on corrosion repairs (rust work) due to the time it takes and the fact that it cannot easily be guaranteed not to come back again.
Do you use genuine manufacturer parts?
Yes we do, always as the first port of call however there are some exceptions requiring the use of oem or pattern parts: Your insurers specify using pattern parts as part of their repair contract. The vehicle is close to total loss, hence cost savings must be applied. The manufacturers parts are exceptionally back ordered or delay getting the vehicle back on the road. The vehicle is older and manufacturers warranty no longer applies. As a private repair you want to keep costs down. Original parts no longer manufactured. If we have to use non manufacturers parts for any of the above reasons we will discuss with you first.
