This 2012 MINI Cooper Diesel was brought in for excessive exhaust smoke. On removal of the inlet manifold we found that the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve and inlet manifold was blocked with carbon build-up. It’s likely that the turbo has also been damaged by oil starvation. The cost of repairs is likely to exceed £3,000! In the two years of ownership, the customer has never had her MINI serviced. Routine servicing using quality engine oil is essential to avoid expensive repairs. If it's been a while since you've had your car serviced, please don’t hesitate to get in touch on 01633 891122.
