2021 Ford Transit 2.0 eco blue in this week for a cam belt change . These belts are known as wet belts as they run in engine oil which reduces friction and meant to be more fuel efficient. BUT rubber and oil do not mix and this causes the belt to degrade, the rubber fibres come off blocking oil ways and can lead to catastrophic early engine failure. We also replace the oil pump drive belt as this is rubber, timing cover and sump replaced also oil pump pick up. This is a full days work as lots to be removed and cleaned and everything torqued to factory spec.
