Following on from last weeks post regarding tyre safety, and the interest shown. A majority of people were not aware that the maximum fine for a bald tyre (below legal limit of 1.6mm) is £2500, so 4 bald tyres could equate to a massive £10,000 fine! nnIn addition should your car be involved in an accident and your tyres are below 1.6mm your insurance company are unlikely to pay out. nnAs an additional safety tip, use a 20p coin to check your tread depths. The outer edge of the 20p is approximately 2mm so a simple test could save you a great deal of money!
