If you’re having part of your car bodywork repaired and painted, don’t forget to have a look and see if your alloys doing whilst we have your car at our garage. If you’re not sure if your car has alloy or steel wheels, here’s a quick way to find out: Put a magnet to the wheel. If it sticks it’s a steel wheel, if it doesn’t it will be an alloy of some sort – most commonly aluminium or magnesium. Some budget cars have hubcaps over their steel wheels, and a magnet won't stick to them as they're made of plastic! So what sort of wheels have you got? If you're still not sure, just ask Simon and he'll be happy to help.
