Roberlo textured bumper coating has been about for years but most texture bumper repairs are done locally and using smart repair techniques with specially designed aerosols, but one of our recent customers wanted some work doing on his Toyota Hi-Lux which included total refurbishment of the front texture bumper. The bumper was badly scraped with impact damage. A new replacement Toyota bumper was costly and would have exceeded the customer's budget and there was no non-genuine pattern part for this model. So repairing the bumper was the option we was left with. First we sanded and repaired the bumper, a plastic adhesion promoter was sprayed followed by three coats of two pack dark gray primer. After the preparation work was done we started to apply the Roberlo textured coating. By using different thinning ratio to this one pack paint and adjusting the air pressure you can achieve different texture finish from coarse to fine grain. Roberlo textured coating comes in several colours we used black to restore this bumper to original and achieved a good quality bumper repair.
