Karate John checking an ABS system fault today on Johns Audi Q5 Sporadic No communication fault logged in the control module - this is where the fault scan ends. You can’t just replace ABS module on a fault code. John hooked it up to the mighty PicoScope and in screenshot here we can see the CAN BUS and power feed dropping out when the ABS module asked for current draw. Methodical testing KJ started working through the wiring diagram and finding test points looking for corrosion and therefore the resistive fault in the circuit. This was traced to a shared terminal 30 power feed, we repaired the wiring loom and restarted the circuit under the same test conditions and now found no voltage drop and perfect ABS operation 😀...
