Did you think full panels would be completely removed for a dent repair? To get the best result for severe damage such as this large bodyline dent on a brand new Mercedes GLE, removing the door gave us the best chance to achieve that. Now the owner of this car been quoted by the manufacturer just shy of £2.5K for a new door, blends and all the associated R&I. The door quite simply did not need replacing. The lower bodyline was completely pushed in, rippling the surrounding areas, and the large lumps (crowns) you can see in the photos/video is the skin pushed up against the bracing on the inside of the door. Severe damage like this we will always talk with the customer about getting the best possible result, if there’s a chance it won’t be, or it’s not possible to get 100%, we will let them know. Our aim was to save the door being replaced, the side painting, and time off the road. All this damage was repaired with a 100% glue pull repair using the KECO UK GPR System, the paintwork was in good condition unmarked, so everything is left 100% original as it came out the factory.
